A 74 year old man has been seriously injured following a crash involving a Rewaco trike on the B851 south of Loch Ness.

The collision happened around 3pm on Saturday, 1 August, near Dunmaglass.

Emergency services attended and the rider was taken to hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Police Scotland confirmed the passenger on the trike was uninjured.

Road Policing officers are now appealing for witnesses as enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Constable Andrew Mackenzie said:

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this crash.

“We are appealing to anyone who was driving in the area who may have seen the crash or has information or dash-cam footage which may assist.

“We are keen to trace the driver of a white Volkswagen Golf or Polo that was seen on the road around the time of the crash.”
