Work to begin from Wednesday 23 September for 12 nights.
Four sections of the A82 in the Fort William area are set to benefit from an improved road surface as work is set to get underway from Wednesday night.
The £370,000 surfacing improvements will see a total of 2.5km of the A82 resurfaced, creating a smoother and safer journey for road users.
The overnight project is scheduled to get underway on Wednesday 23 September and is expected to take 12 nights to complete.
The improvements will be carried out between 7pm and 6am each night with work due to be completed by 6am Friday 9 October.
No work is programmed for Friday and Saturday nights.
The work is programmed as follows;
A82 North Road – Nevis Bridge to Ben Nevis Industrial Estate – Wednesday 23 September to Sunday 27 September (three nights, excluding Friday and Saturday nights)
A 10mph convoy traffic management system will be in place for safety.
Access will be temporary restricted to and from the A82 at Claggan Road on Wednesday 23 September and from Ardnevis Road on Thursday 24 September.
Local signed diversions will be in place overnight.
A82 West End Roundabout southbound dual – Monday 28 September to Tuesday 29 September (two nights)
A 10mph convoy traffic management system will be in place for safety.
Traffic management will remain in place outwith working hours.
A82 Hill Farm Bends – Wednesday 30 September to Monday 5 October (four nights, excluding Friday and Saturday nights)
A 10mph convoy traffic management system will be in place for safety.
A82 Belford Road northbound dual – Tuesday 6 October to Thursday 8 October (three nights)
A 10mph convoy traffic management system will be in place for safety.
Access will be temporary restricted to Middle Street from the A82 Belford northbound dual on Thursday 8 October.
Local signed diversions will be in place overnight.
Traffic management will be removed outwith working hours, with the exception of West End Roundabout southbound dual.
For safety, a speed restriction of 30mph will remain in place during the daytime at the other three locations as traffic will be running on a temporary surface.
Access for emergency services will be maintained to Belford Hospital at all times.
Local access for residents and businesses will be maintained when it is safe to pass through the work area
Consultation has been carried out with emergency services and relevant stakeholders.
