Caley Thistle Face Hearts as Premier Sports Cup Last 16 Draw Made

Inverness Caledonian Thistle have been handed a trip to Tynecastle after being drawn away to Heart of Midlothian in the last 16 of the Premier Sports Cup.

The draw took place in Paisley on Sunday evening and also saw Ross County paired with an away tie against Dunfermline Athletic.

Both Highland clubs now know the challenge that awaits as they bid to reach the quarter finals of the competition.

Caley Thistle will face Premiership opposition in Edinburgh, while Ross County make the journey to Fife to take on Championship side Dunfermline.

Elsewhere, holders Celtic travel to Dundee United in one of the standout ties of the round, while Rangers host St Mirren at Ibrox.

Aberdeen will welcome Dundee to Pittodrie, Hibernian take on Partick Thistle at Easter Road, Stenhousemuir host Motherwell and Kilmarnock face Ayr United in an Ayrshire derby.

The ties are scheduled to be played over the weekend of August 15 and 16, with television selections to be confirmed.
