Dornoch Music Festival Set for Biggest Year Yet as Countdown Begins

The countdown is officially on for one of the Highlands’ most anticipated summer events, with just six weeks remaining until Dornoch Music & Beer Festival returns to Dornoch Meadows.

Taking place on 17 and 18 July, the festival is preparing to welcome thousands of visitors for a weekend packed with live music, food, family entertainment and local hospitality.

Now firmly established as one of the standout events in the Highland summer calendar, the festival continues to grow in both scale and reputation, drawing visitors from across Scotland and beyond.

This year’s event will feature 18 bands performing across two days, offering a diverse programme of live music designed to appeal to festival goers of all ages.

Alongside the music, visitors will be able to sample more than 75 beers and ciders, with a strong focus on showcasing local producers and giving people the opportunity to discover new favourites.

Food vendors from across the region will also be on site throughout the weekend, adding to the festival atmosphere and ensuring there is something for every taste.

Organisers have once again placed a strong emphasis on making the event welcoming for families.

The Family Zone will feature a packed programme of activities and entertainment, while fairground rides will provide excitement for younger visitors throughout the weekend.

Among the attractions planned are Kung Fu demonstrations, a Dragon Show, Dougie’s Dome Tent, Kenny’s Creative Corner and activities delivered by Rokzkool.

The combination of live music, family entertainment, food and drink has become one of the festival’s biggest strengths, helping it appeal to a broad audience while retaining its distinctly Highland character.

Set against the backdrop of Dornoch Meadows, the event has become a significant boost for the local economy, supporting accommodation providers, restaurants, shops and businesses across the area during one of the busiest periods of the year.

With ticket sales already moving quickly, organisers are encouraging anyone planning to attend to secure their place soon.

Adult day tickets are priced at £40, while full weekend tickets are available for £70.

Children under the age of three can attend free of charge.

As the six week countdown begins, excitement is building for what promises to be another memorable weekend in Dornoch, bringing together music lovers, families and visitors for a celebration of community, entertainment and Highland hospitality.

The Dornoch Music & Beer Festival takes place at Dornoch Meadows on Friday 17 July and Saturday 18 July 2026.
