Eden Court is set to electrify Highland audiences this autumn and winter with its newly unveiled programme, packed with an extraordinary line-up of live performances and special events from internationally acclaimed artists and companies.
Audiences are invited to discover a thrilling range of cultural highlights, with major productions including legendary musical Blood Brothers, international smash-hit SIX, the spellbinding The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Scottish Opera’s Don Pasquale, and this year’s Christmas panto Jack and the Beanstalk.
Powerful dramas include phenomenal thriller The Girl on the Train, Love Beyond, a visually stunning work by acclaimed artist Ramesh Meyyappan and To Save the Sea, a new production from Sleeping Warrior Theatre inspired by a real-life climate protest in 1995.
Local theatre company Dogstar also brings James Robertson’s novel The Testament of Gideon Mack to the stage in an exciting new adaptation.
Music lovers will be treated to performances by some of Scotland’s most talented and acclaimed artists, including Roddy Woomble, Salt House, Anna Massie, Blue Rose Code, CEOL and James Yorkston’s Tae Sup wi’ a Fifer, featuring an all-star line-up including KT Tunstall.
Audiences are also in for a treat with some of the world’s top tribute bands set to bring timeless classics alive on stage, including The Illegal Eagles, The Johnny Cash Roadshow and The Simon & Garfunkel Story.
Classical music and opera enthusiasts can expect a typically stellar selection, including Scottish Opera’s production of Don Pasquale and Scottish Ensemble’s beautifully atmospheric Concerts by Candlelight.
Ballet fans will be enchanted by Scottish Ballet’s beloved holiday favourite The Nutcracker, while orchestral performances will include the Royal Scottish National Orchestra’s Viennese Gala and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra’s rendition of Brahms’ Violin Concerto.
Families can look forward to The Great Grumpy Gaboon by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the world’s most outrageous science show in Rude Science, and, later in 2025, a breath-taking new adaptation of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
Eden Court’s acclaimed and beloved panto will be Jack and The Beanstalk, delivering epic adventures and plenty of laughter this Christmas.
The festive season also offers seasonal pleasures including music (Phil Cunningham’s Christmas Songbook, Buddy Holly & The Cricketers – Holly At Christmas, Swing Into Christmas and The Overtones Good Time Christmas Tour), drama (A Christmas Carol) and lively nights out (Karawane’s Festive Houseparty, Eden Court Ceilidhs).
One of the dance season’s crowning jewels is to be found in Dragons, a breath-taking fusion of modern and traditional dance by acclaimed South Korean artist Eun-Me Ahn.
This powerful performance blends contemporary pop, electronic music and vivid visual projections with traditional forms, creating an unforgettable and immersive experience.
Beyond the stage, Eden Court will host the 22nd Inverness Film Festival, a highlight of the cultural calendar.
Last year’s festival featured a stunning line-up, premiering dozens of internationally acclaimed films that went on to dominate awards season.
This year promises to be equally impressive, with the full programme to be revealed in October.
Eden Court’s art galleries will showcase a vibrant collection of work across diverse mediums, with both established and emerging artists, including abstract painters Martin Irish and Jelena Visermmirska, multimedia artist and musician Phillip Jon Taylor and the intricate print artistry of Tim Honnor.
Photography will also be a regular feature of the galleries, with striking exhibitions from the Royal Photographic Society’s Travelling Exhibition and Katarina Barvirova’s new Coastal Testimonies project.
With an extraordinary array of events, Eden Court is set to deliver a season that aims to inspire, engage and entertain audiences of all ages and interests.
From big musicals and dramatic theatre to enchanting musical performances, unforgettable tributes and world-class opera, this season promises something for everyone.
