Chocolate Easter bunnies earmarked for the 12th annual Inverness City Centre Easter Egg Hunt have been donated to make sure Highland families receiving support during COVID-19 can enjoy a traditional tasty treat.
Inverness BID ordered four hundred Easter Bunnies for the hunt but instead of wasting them, BID have kindly donated them to the Council to distribute.
Inverness BID Manager Mike Smith said:
“We were delighted to be able to pass on our initial stock of bunnies for distribution to the community by our colleagues at the Highland Council.
“I am pleased to announce with the support of our partners Eastgate Centre, that the traditional Great Easter Egg Hunt will continue this coming weekend with an online version of the Hunt being available from our website www.invernessbid.co.uk and our Facebook event page from Friday.”
The Provost of Inverness, Helen Carmichael thanked BID for their generosity.
She said:
“The annual city centre Easter Egg Hunt is one of the calendar highlights but obviously it cannot take place on the ground this year.
“However, I hope people do join in with the special on-line version.”
She added:
“I would like to sincerely thank Mike and his BID team for this thoughtful and generous donation.
‘We will make sure the bunnies all find good homes with people needing extra support at this difficult time.”
