Motorists using the A82 near Torlundy are being advised of two nights of essential resurfacing works scheduled for Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 October.
The works, carried out on behalf of Transport Scotland by BEAR Scotland, will see a new, smoother surface laid to improve safety for road users.
Running from 7pm to 7am on both nights, the project is set to be completed by the morning of Friday 25 October, with minimal daytime disruption.
To ensure the safety of both workers and drivers, a lane closure with a 10 mph convoy system will be in place during the overnight work hours.
Outside of working hours, traffic management will be lifted, though a temporary 30 mph speed limit will remain in place as vehicles will be driving over an unfinished surface.
Local residents and businesses have been informed of the traffic management arrangements to help them plan ahead for any potential disruptions.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative, said the improvements would address road defects and significantly enhance the driving experience along this section of the A82.
He added that while the convoy system may cause brief delays, it is essential for the safety of both road users and workers.
The public is being encouraged to check the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates and to plan their journeys in advance to avoid inconvenience.
Updates are also available through Traffic Scotland’s social media channels, including X (formerly Twitter), and their new mobile site.
Materials removed during the resurfacing process will be recycled using environmentally friendly methods approved by SEPA.
BEAR Scotland thanked the local community and road users in advance for their patience and understanding while the work is carried out.
Motorists are urged to stay informed, drive carefully, and allow extra time for their journeys during the planned works.
