Essential resurfacing works on the B851 at Scatraig in Strathnairn, scheduled to start Monday 11 November and continue through Friday 15 November.
Drivers should be aware that traffic management measures will affect the B851 between the Quarry access and the A9, with arrangements in place to keep traffic moving safely.
From Monday 11 to Tuesday 12 November, temporary traffic lights will be set up to facilitate crucial preparatory work, so expect potential delays during these early stages.
The most impactful closures will take place mid-week, with partial road closures scheduled from Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 November between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.
Outside of these closure times, temporary traffic lights will be reactivated to allow evening and early morning travel, though some delays may still be likely.
The Council has planned diversions to keep traffic flowing around the closures; vehicles approaching from the B851 will be redirected along the B861 toward Inverness, while access from the A9 will be cut off entirely.
Light vehicles coming from the A9 will be directed along minor roads through Daviot, while heavy goods vehicles will need to detour on the A9 toward Inverness.
Residents in the Faillie area may face some impact on access, but the Council assures that arrangements have been made with the contractor to manage access to and from homes during the works.
Emergency services will have access at all times, ensuring that crucial response services are unaffected by the closures.
Public transportation and waste collection schedules will also be temporarily rerouted during closure times to prevent any damage to the fresh road surface.
In the lead-up to the works, advance notification signs will be posted to give the public ample warning of the upcoming changes.
