High Life Highland has welcomed a wave of fresh expertise as four new directors step into key roles on its Charity and Trading Boards.

Alli Vass, a senior figure in Highland enterprise, now joins the Charity Board, bringing with her a strong background in business transformation and leadership.

Alli currently serves as PowerHouse Manager for the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport, where she leads on driving cultural and operational improvements.

Her extensive leadership experience and dedication to compliance, people and process management mark a significant asset for High Life Highland’s strategic future.

Also stepping into new positions are Andrew Button, David Ellis and Valerie Graham, all of whom now hold seats on the High Life Highland Trading Board.

The trio joined their respective boards during official meetings held on Wednesday 19 March.

Andrew Button, based in Golspie, has a distinguished background in commercial banking and finance, with a particular focus on organisational development and long-term strategy.

David Ellis, an Inverness local, brings decades of leisure and public sector insight, having played a leading role in the development of a Leisure Trust.

Valerie Graham, who lives in Ardgay and originates from Invergordon, boasts senior experience with Whitbread PLC, where she served as Operations Director.

Her wide-ranging leadership capabilities and commercial acumen will play a vital role in shaping the Trading Board’s business activities.

The Trading Board, responsible for driving the organisation’s commercial arm, is composed of four main Board Directors and five independent members, now bolstered by this new trio.

High Life Highland’s Charity Board, which oversees the strategic direction of one of the region’s largest charities, also benefits from the inclusion of Michael Boylan, who now holds positions on both the Charity and Trading Boards.

Michael currently chairs the Trading Board and will now contribute further across the broader charitable scope.

The Charity Board itself comprises four elected Highland Council members and eight independent directors, drawn from public, private and development backgrounds.

Chair of High Life Highland, Michael Golding, praised the appointments and the expertise now joining the fold.

He said the new directors offer valuable skills and perspectives that will help shape the future of the organisation and enhance its ability to deliver on its mission.

That mission, “Making Life Better,” remains at the core of the charity’s focus as it continues to serve communities across the Highlands.

With new leadership voices now at the table, High Life Highland is poised for continued growth and renewed strategic strength.
