High Life Highland has signed up to further promote and support Scottish Rugby in a new partnership.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed by High Life Highland Chief Executive Steve Walsh alongside Scottish Rugby Game Development Manager Sinclair Patience.
High Life Highland Chief Executive Steve Walsh said:
“We’re delighted to be working together to develop a community engagement model of good practice and we’re very much looking forward to being able to expand on that in the future.
“Our goal is to increase sporting participation within clubs and communities as well as generating employment and practical learning opportunities for young people, providing training for the future sustainability of sport development.
“Not only that, but we’re focusing on mental health and physical wellbeing initiatives and looking at how we can be providing training and support around equality and inclusion.”
Following the signing, High Life Highland’s Active Schools Coordinators joined with Scottish Rugby to work on their rugby skills.
Scottish Rugby Game Development Manager Sinclair Patience added:
“We’re delighted to be working in partnership with High Life Highland promoting and developing rugby across the Highlands.
“This is an exciting opportunity for both partners to strengthen our collaborative initiatives and to cultivate new connections and opportunities for young people in the Highlands.”
