The SNP’s Gail Ross, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Caithness, Sutherland and Ross (pictured), is delighted with the response from local supermarkets who have taken up her pleas for online shopping slots to be made available for those who are shielding.
Speaking today Gail said:
“I have been working directly with the Tesco store manager in Wick to ensure that those who are in vulnerable groups and who are shielding are able to access delivery slots for online shopping.
“It’s good to see that Tesco have taken on board my concerns and are acting upon them.”
“Many stores throughout Caithness, Sutherland and Ross are making the effort to support their vulnerable customers during this difficult time.
“I would like to congratulate all who’ve gone that extra mile to support folks and encourage others to follow their lead.”
“If any constituents are finding problems with accessing services I would encourage them to contact me.”
