Highland Coast Hotels has launched a new pop-up food truck experience outside the Plockton Inn in Wester Ross.
Located on the shores of Loch Carron, Plockton Inn’s new food truck, the ‘Outside Inn’, is now offering a unique alfresco dining experience for visitors and the local community until Sunday 24th September.
On selected days from 1pm until 8pm, foodies can look forward to a freshly prepared selection of subs, sides and sweet treats, including beer battered haddock with salsa verde, Caesar panko chicken and falafel with hummus, as well as kimchi chips, nachos, donut toasties and soft drinks.
Led by Plockton Inn’s Hannah Camp-Arthur, the new food truck experience offers breathatking views over Loch Carron and outdoor seating for guests and their four-legged friends in the private loch-side gardens.
The General Manager of the Plockton Inn, Paul Arcari, said:
“We’re really excited to be opening Plockton Inn’s new pop-up food truck, the ‘Outside Inn’, for visitors to Plockton and the local community.
“The village of Plockton is affectionately known as ‘The Jewel of the Highlands’, so is a popular visitor destination. Located on the waterside of the Plockton Inn, the ‘Outside Inn’ enjoys stunning view over Loch Carron and a lovely garden filled with outdoor seating.
“Plockton Inn’s Hannah Camp-Arthur will be cooking up a storm for all to enjoy from 14th to 24th September, including a freshly prepared selection of subs, sides and sweet treats.
“We’ve got a great daily menu to suit everyone.”
Plockton Inn reopened to visitors earlier this year following a £1 million makeover.
The refurbishment of Plockton Inn includes ‘Sorley’s House’ in the building opposite, which takes its name from the famous Scottish poet, Sorley MacLean, who lived on the site for a number of years.
The Plockton Inn also has a garden between Sorley’s House and the bay where the Outside Inn is based.
The Outside Inn will be closed on Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th September. The menu is subject to daily changes.
