New Hope for Inverness Caley Thistle as Key CVA Meeting Set for June

A fresh wave of optimism has swept through Inverness Caledonian Thistle as the club’s path out of administration takes another step forward.

The long-awaited Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) meeting will now take place on 5 June, giving the Joint Administrators more time to finalise a deal they believe can win the backing of creditors.

Originally scheduled for 22 May, the meeting was postponed to ensure every detail of the proposed agreement was watertight and free of unresolved conditions.

Central to this delay is a complex legal arrangement involving the purchase and division of the lease for the land surrounding the Caledonian Stadium.

This process requires collaboration between the club, existing leaseholders and Highland Council, who act as the head landlord.

All parties are working together constructively, and the Joint Administrators have warmly thanked Highland Council for their quick and pragmatic response.

There is growing confidence that a deal can be done.

The offer led by businessman Mr Savage is progressing well, with the majority of key conditions already satisfied.

The response from shareholders has been overwhelmingly positive, with many sending not just their formal agreement but personal messages of support for Mr Savage and the club’s future.

A spokesperson from BDO, which is handling the administration process, praised this groundswell of goodwill and urged any remaining shareholders to submit their forms as soon as possible.

“This is the final push to bring the club out of administration,” they said.

“There is still time to make a difference.”

All required documents have now been issued to creditors ahead of the June meeting, setting the stage for what could be a defining moment in the club’s recent history.

Should the CVA be approved, it would mark a major turning point for Inverness Caley Thistle, offering stability, fresh leadership and the opportunity to rebuild after a turbulent period.

For now, hope is rising in the Highland capital that a new chapter is within reach.
