Oban Camanachd delivered a stunning display in the Scottish Sea Farms Glasgow Celtic Society Challenge Cup Final on 21 June 2025.
Kyles Athletic led early through a superb strike from James Pringle, but Oban roared back into the match.
Daniel MacVicar equalised on 16 minutes, followed by Malcolm Clark’s strike on 30.
Ross MacMillan edged Oban ahead in the 53rd minute, before Daniel MacCuish added a fine fourth.
Ross Campbell sealed a commanding 6–1 victory with two late goals in the 76th and 83rd minutes.
It was a memorable afternoon that showed the best of Oban’s strength, pace and precision.

Kingussie edged Lovat 3–2 in a thrilling Artemis Macaulay Cup Quarter Final.
Dylan Borthwick struck twice, Callum Cruden converted from the spot, while Greg Matheson and Savio Genini hit back for Lovat.
Newtonmore overcame Skye 3–1 after extra time, with goals from Archie Millar, Iain Robinson and Conor Jones capping a fiercely contested tie.
Chieftain’s Cup Finalists Confirmed
Newtonmore booked their place in the Chieftain’s Cup Final with a confident 5–2 win over Kingussie.
Earlier, Oban Celtic edged Glengarry 3–2 in a game full of grit and attacking flair.
League Clashes Spark Across Divisions
In the Mowi Premiership, Fort William impressed with a 3–1 win over Kinlochshiel thanks to a brace from Lachie Shaw.
In the National Division, Kilmallie pipped Glenurquhart 2–1 in a tight contest.
Fort William also enjoyed success in North Division 1, easing past Kinlochshiel 6–1 with goals from Liam Matheson, Owen O’Hagan and Bryan Simpson.
Skye held off Glenurquhart 3–2 in another entertaining tie.
The South Division 1 fixture between Kilmory and Ballachulish ended goalless.
Youth Fixtures Full of Flair
Glasgow Mid Argyll lifted the South of Scotland Under 17 Trophy with a 2–1 win over Oban Camanachd.
Across the Mowi National Under 17 League, Skye, Kinlochshiel, Inverness, Lovat and Kingussie all produced standout moments.
In Under 14 competition, Fort William hit nine past Lochaber, Glengarry overwhelmed Strathglass 11–1 and Glenurquhart kept Beauly quiet with a 6–0 win.
Women’s League Showcases Goals Galore
In the Women’s Mowi Premier League, Skye claimed a 4–2 win thanks to Holly Maclean and Sarah Yoxon.
Badenoch dispatched Dunadd 8–1 in the National League with Orla Olds netting a hat-trick.
There were also notable results for Strathspey, Lochaber and Inveraray in the North League.
