Overnight Signals and Layout Changes Planned on A9 Near Guay

Drivers on the A9 south of Kindallachan will face overnight traffic signals and changes to the road layout from Monday 27 April as dualling works continue between the Tay Crossing and Ballinluig.

The works will introduce a temporary right turn filter lane for southbound construction traffic accessing a site compound at Guay.

To allow installation, overnight two way traffic signals and a lane closure will be in place from 7pm to 6am for four weeks from 27 April.

No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday evenings.

The measures are being put in place to allow construction activity to take place safely alongside live traffic.

Further traffic management will follow in late May to complete the next phase of the works.

Three way temporary signals with convoy working will operate for two nights from Monday 25 May to Wednesday 27 May.

A 10mph speed limit will be in force during this period, with vehicles escorted through the site for safety.

From Wednesday 27 May, the new right turn filter lane will be in operation for construction vehicles accessing the Guay compound.

Signage will be installed on both approaches to clearly guide drivers through the updated layout.

Access for emergency services and pedestrians will be maintained throughout.

Drivers are being advised to take care when travelling through the area and allow extra time for their journeys.
