Scotland’s biggest motorcycle race meeting of the year is almost here, with the world-class Bennetts British Superbikes (BSB) championship returning to Knockhill Racing Circuit from 4 to 6 July.
More than 15,000 passionate fans are expected to descend on Fife for the thrilling weekend, with spectators travelling from across the UK and beyond to witness some of the finest motorcycle racers on the planet battle it out for the coveted BSB title.
This year, all eyes will be on Scotland’s homegrown stars.
Perth’s Rory Skinner, Haddington’s Lewis Rollo and John McPhee, originally from Connel Bridge near Oban, are set to fly the Saltire on home tarmac.
Rory Skinner will be racing with a new sense of purpose.
Last year, he celebrated his first championship race win at Knockhill, only for injury to derail his title hopes.
Now riding a Ducati for the 2025 season, he has already impressed with a podium finish at Donington Park and is full of confidence ahead of his return to Knockhill.
Lewis Rollo, meanwhile, is facing a race against time.
A pre-season crash has kept him out of action so far this year.
He is working tirelessly to be fit for his home round, and fans will be willing him on to make the start line.
For John McPhee, 2025 marks a season of fresh challenges.
After a decade in the MotoGP paddock aboard a Moto3 machine, he is adapting to life on a powerful Superbike.
Although many of the circuits are new to him, Knockhill is not.
It is where his racing journey began and he is hoping that local knowledge, combined with determination, will see him deliver a strong performance on his new Honda.
The arrival of the BSB circus in Scotland also brings a significant economic boost to the region.
Teams and support crews begin arriving from Wednesday 2 July, filling hotels, restaurants and businesses across Fife.
Stuart Gray, Knockhill’s Director of Events, is already looking forward to another unforgettable weekend.
“Every year we are stunned by the speed, skill and bravery of the BSB riders and all those in the support classes.
“The riders are incredible and the teams so professional that it is easy to see why the BSB is regarded as the best national championship in the world.
“We cannot wait for the show to return at the start of July, especially with three Scots all vying for the podium,” he said.
Tickets are available now at www.knockhill.com/events or on the gate.
The action begins each day at 8.45am, promising three full days of high-octane entertainment.
