Inverness Highland Games organisers are delighted to announce that they will be welcoming MacGregors Bar on Saturday 15 July at Bught Park, Inverness.

The main Highland Games bar tent will be taken over by MacGregor’s Traditional Music session for one day only at the games! (Sessions are impromptu gatherings where musicians share music spontaneously around the table with a dram or two – the true essence of Scottish music.).

Provost of Inverness Councillor Glynis Campbell Sinclair said:

“On behalf of the Events and Festivals Working Group I am delighted to welcome Bruce MacGregor and friends to the Inverness Highland Games.

“Bruce will bring a phenomenal additional attraction to an already exciting programme.

“We hope that families and visitors come and enjoy a very exciting day and indeed evening!

“Please remember to go online at www.invernesshighlandgames.com as soon as possible to buy your tickets for the Games (£10) and Ceilidh (£15) noting that entry to the evening event is limited so tickets will go fast.”

Not only will there be a fantastic selection of live music but also some of the finest beverages available from local suppliers.

MacGregors Bar will also be offering three sittings of their ‘Highland Malt Whisky Experience’.

Five exquisite malts are savoured in amongst the stories, myths and legends of the highlands accompanied by live music.

Shows at 1pm 3pm and 5pm.

However no visit to the Highland Games would be complete without taking part in a Highland Ceilidh.

These are gatherings for people to enjoy the music, have a dance and enjoy themselves.

Participants will learn some of the great ceilidh dances – the Gay Gordons, Strip the Willow and the Eightsome reel.

Ceilidhs are some of the best sessions you can have in Scotland.

The Highland Ceilidh will commence at 7pm in the Main Bar Tent concluding at 11pm and tickets for this are available to purchase through the Inverness Highland Games website www.invernesshighlandgames.com

Admission to the ceilidh is not included in the day tickets.

Over 18’s only.
