Animal lovers are being offered the chance to enjoy an exclusive behind the scenes experience at Highland Wildlife Park through a new summer prize draw supporting wildlife conservation.
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland has launched the fundraiser, giving one winner and three guests the opportunity to spend a day exploring parts of the park rarely seen by visitors.
The prize comes at a particularly exciting time following the recent arrival of Highland Wildlife Park’s first snow leopard cubs in four years.
The winning group will also have the chance to meet some of the park’s most popular residents, including red panda Priya and polar bears Aktos and Walker.
The experience will include a guided tour led by Royal Zoological Society of Scotland chief executive David Field.
The prize also includes lunch at the park, an overnight stay and a year’s family membership to the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
Every £5 entry into the prize draw will help fund the charity’s conservation work, including the Saving Wildcats project, which is working to restore wildcats to the Scottish Highlands.
David Field said:
“This is a truly unique opportunity to experience Highland Wildlife Park in a way that very few people ever will.
“Seeing amazing animals up close and feeding some of the adorable new arrivals will be a once-in-a-lifetime prize.”
“As a wildlife conservation charity, we rely on the generosity of our supporters.
“Every ticket sold helps to create a future where nature is protected, valued and loved for generations to come.”
Located near Kingussie in the Cairngorms, Highland Wildlife Park is one of the Highlands’ best known visitor attractions and plays a leading role in conservation projects both in Scotland and around the world.
The Saving Wildcats programme is among its flagship initiatives, helping to restore one of Britain’s most endangered native mammals to the wild.
Entries for the prize draw are now open and will close at noon on Monday 31 August.
