34-Year-Old Man Arrested for Driving Offences

Around 8:30pm on Monday 12th September, Police were made aware of a black Volkswagen Golf car being driven dangerously in a residential area in Fort William.

The car was located on a grass verge at Pinegrove Court, Fort William after it collided with another vehicle and street sign.

There were no reports of any injuries.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences. He was due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Wednesday 14 September, 2022.

Roads Policing Constable Ben Cruickshank from the Highland & Islands Road Policing Unit based in Fort William said:

“Dangerous and careless driving are key factors in many serious injuries on the roads and our enforcement focuses on tackling these risky driving behaviours, along with speeding, drink and drug driving and mobile phone use offences.

“We all have a responsibility to drive safely every time we take to the roads and with consideration for all other road users.”
