Arts and Book lovers in the Ross-shire district will be able to come along to the St Duthac Book and Arts Festival Annual General Meeting (AGM) and hear about the achievements and work of the Festival Group over the course of the year.
The AGM will be held on Thursday 24th April at 19:30 in the Duthac Centre, Lesser Town Hall, Tain with refreshments available.
Chair of the Festival, Frances Wood, said:
“The AGM is always a lovely event and a good opportunity for us to listen to the members and also get them excited about some of the upcoming events – those that we can reveal at this time anyway!
“The Committee have been working hard to ensure that we have the best possible line up of authors, events, venues and activities – and I don’t think I’m giving too much away when I say that 2025 looks set to be a bumper year.
“I would encourage anyone interested in books and/or the arts in Easter Ross to come along to the AGM.
“Only members get to vote but we have many volunteers and supporters and fresh faces are always welcome and, one of the perks of attending the AGM is a sneak peek at some of details of one of the authors coming to the Festival this year – so there’s definitely no reason not to attend if you’re interested.”
The St Duthac Arts and Book Festival began as an idea in 2019 but really took off in 2021 as the first Festival actually took place.
In the intervening years, authors such as Jenny Colgan, Jen Stout, James Robertson, Sara Sheridan, Helen Sedgwick, Archie Macpherson and Sally Magnusson have all appeared as part of the event.
