Calling all of the Super Troupers!
Today (Monday 27th March), LCC Live – organisers of Live in the City, have announced a second night at the Inverness Leisure Centre this winter – the renowned Björn Again show which will be performing a plethora of ABBA’s greatest hits!
The Björn Again show will be taking place at the Inverness Leisure Centre on Saturday 9th December 2023, with warm up from a special guest to be announced ahead of the event.
The show is hailed as the most popular and successful show of its type, having been acknowledged by Björn Ulvaeus from ABBA himself as being the show that single-handedly initiated the ABBA revival in the late 1980s and early 1990s, which brought about ABBA Gold, Muriel’s Wedding, and Mamma Mia!
The internationally acclaimed Björn Again show was created and founded in 1988 in Melbourne, by Australian Director and Musician Rod Stephen.
Designed as a rocked-up, light-hearted, satirical ABBA spoof, the show rapidly achieved world-wide cult status.
The enduring appeal of ABBA is reflected in the ongoing success of the Björn Again show, having amassed 5,500 performances in 75 countries in 35 years.
With acknowledgement from ABBA’s blonde vocalist Agnetha Fältskog, the aim is to keep this typically Australian production at the top and continue for as long as people want to hear the much-loved ABBA repertoire performed the way only the Björn Again show does.
LCC Live’s very own Super Trouper, Claire Kidger, commented:
“The Björn Again show is the ultimate ABBA night and we’re so excited to be bringing it to the Inverness Leisure Centre this Christmas – it will be a fun epic night out, filled with so many of ABBA’s greatest hits!”
“This is a terrific opportunity to grab a group of friends and family and come along for an evening of great entertainment – we don’t know about you, but hearing all of those classic tunes will make us want to (maybe get dressed up a bit) and dance!!”
Tickets for Björn Again go on sale this Friday at 9am (31st March 2023) from ticketline.co.uk or in person from Caffery’s Menswear in the Eastgate Shopping Centre, Inverness.
