British Superbikes Set for Biggest Ever Knockhill Weekend

Scotland’s biggest motorsport event is set to roar back into life next week as the British Superbike Championship returns to Knockhill for what organisers are describing as the circuit’s biggest ever BSB weekend.

Thousands of fans are expected to descend on the Fife circuit from 19 to 21 June as the championship celebrates its 30th anniversary season with three days of high speed action and fierce title battles.

The annual Scottish round has become one of the highlights of the British motorsport calendar, with Knockhill’s narrow, undulating circuit renowned for producing some of the closest racing anywhere in the championship.

This year’s event will feature a packed programme of racing, including British Superbikes, Superstocks, Supersports, Sidecars and Junior Sportbikes, with organisers also welcoming the ROKiT OFF BMW F900 R Cup to the meeting for the first time.

Ahead of the action getting underway, fans will have the opportunity to meet some of the sport’s biggest names during a special event in the heart of Edinburgh.

The Royal Scottish Academy on Princes Street will host “Superbikes in the City” on Thursday 18 June between 3pm and 4pm, bringing riders and championship machinery to one of Scotland’s most iconic locations.

Home hero Rory Skinner from Perth will be joined by fellow Scot Lewis Rollo from Haddington, reigning British Superbike champion Kyle Ryde, Max Cook and Storm Stacey for a public meet and greet before the championship heads north.

To mark the championship’s 30th anniversary, fans will also be able to get up close to both modern and historic machinery, including Kyle Ryde’s Ducati, Rory Skinner’s Yamaha and famous bikes raced by Scottish legend Steve Hislop and former champion Leon Camier.

Lewis Rollo’s Motorrad Central Edinburgh BMW and the BMW Safety Car will also be on display, with opportunities for photographs and autographs.

For Scottish fans, the event offers a rare chance to meet riders before they tackle one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar.

Knockhill’s dramatic elevation changes, blind crests and tight racing have long made it a favourite among spectators and competitors alike, often producing some of the season’s most memorable moments.

With championship points at stake and Scottish riders eager to impress on home soil, organisers believe the stage is set for another unforgettable weekend.

As the countdown continues, the return of British Superbikes promises to deliver speed, noise and excitement in front of what is expected to be one of the largest crowds of the Scottish motorsport season.
