Dornoch Primary School is celebrating after receiving a major national award recognising its commitment to sport and physical activity.
The East Sutherland school has been awarded the sportscotland Gold School Sport Award for 2025 to 2027.
The award recognises schools that place sport and physical activity at the centre of school life and provide strong opportunities for pupils to stay active.
Dornoch Primary, which has 169 pupils, was recognised for providing opportunities for sport throughout the school day as well as during lunchtimes, after school and at weekends.
The school works alongside Active Schools, local clubs and community groups to deliver a wide range of sporting activities and opportunities for pupils.
The award also recognised the school’s efforts to expand physical education provision, encourage leadership among pupils and strengthen links between school sport and local clubs.
