MSP for the Highlands & Islands Emma Roddick has joined the Scottish Parliament’s Social Enterprise Cross-party Group as a Co-Convener, alongside Ariane Burgess MSP, attending her first meeting on 24th September.
The Social Enterprise Cross-Party Group aims to promote the interests and views of social entrepreneurs in the Scottish Parliament to help them influence future policy-making decisions in Holyrood.
Commenting after her first meeting, Emma said:
“I am so delighted to have joined the Social Enterprise Cross-Party Group as Co-Convener given how important social enterprises are to the Highlands.
“We have so many fantastic social enterprises in the region, including Clachworks, Centred, and the Highland Weigh, to name a few, who do so much for their local communities.
“I am really looking forward to co-convening the cross-party group and continuing to ensure that social entrepreneurs are heard during the policy-making process.”
