Knockhill Set for Biggest British Superbike Weekend in its History

Knockhill Racing Circuit is preparing for the biggest British Superbike Championship event in its history when the series returns to Scotland from 19 to 21 June.

The 2026 meeting will mark 30 years of British Superbikes at Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre and is expected to deliver the largest ever entry list alongside a record number of races across the weekend.

Organisers say the event will once again combine world class racing with the unique atmosphere that has made the Knockhill round one of the standout weekends in the British motorsport calendar.

Thousands of fans are expected to descend on Fife to watch defending champion Kyle Ryde, former champion Leon Haslam and Scotland’s own Rory Skinner battle at speeds approaching 160mph around the tight and unforgiving circuit.

The opening round of the 2026 British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park has already raised anticipation ahead of the Scottish round after Kyle Ryde swept all three races to make an emphatic start to his title defence.

Scottish riders also impressed strongly during the opening weekend, with Perth’s Rory Skinner delivering a consistent series of performances in the premier class.

Skinner secured finishes of seventh, eighth and sixth across the three races, collecting valuable championship points while showing competitive pace against the series front runners.

Knockhill says the British Superbikes experience goes far beyond the racing itself, with fans able to get close to the riders and teams throughout the weekend.

Trade stands, paddock access and fan interaction remain central to the event’s appeal, helping create one of the closest experiences between spectators and riders in British motorsport.

Trackside camping will also return for the event, allowing fans to stay onsite from Thursday through until Monday within designated camping areas near Clarks and Hislop’s.

Campers will once again have the rare opportunity to walk sections of the circuit after racing finishes each evening, sharing the same tarmac used by the riders throughout the weekend.

For those looking for a more premium experience, Knockhill is also offering its Hairpin Trackside VIP Hospitality Package overlooking Taylor’s Hairpin.

The package includes private grandstand seating, all day hospitality, catering by Saltire Hospitality and complimentary drinks throughout the day.

Knockhill says the event continues to grow in both scale and popularity as British Superbikes cements its reputation as one of the most competitive and entertaining motorcycle championships in the world.

With Scotland’s motorsport fans already turning out in huge numbers for major events this year, organisers believe the 2026 British Superbike Championship weekend could become one of the biggest in the circuit’s history.
