Following last month’s announcement of Interim Community Council elections for eight Highland communities, The Highland Council has confirmed that four have been formed uncontested.
The four community councils are:
- Acharacle Community Council
- Boat of Garten Community Council
- Culloden Community Council
- Melvich Community Council
Following the close of nominations and the withdrawal period the four community councils that failed to attract half the maximum membership so have not been established are:
- Conon Bridge Community Council
- Cradlehall and Westhill Community Council
- East Nairnshire Community Council
- Shieldaig Community Council

The next round of Interim Community Council elections are due to take place in Spring 2023 with the Notice of Election going live on 9 January 2023.
