A man and a woman have been charged after drugs worth an estimated £150,000 were seized during police operations in Inverness.
Officers from the Divisional Organised Crime Team carried out linked warrants at properties on Kilmuir Road and Glendoe Terrace.
During the searches, cocaine and cannabis were recovered, with a combined estimated street value of £150,000.
The two individuals, aged 58 and 38, have been arrested and charged in connection with the discovery.
Both are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court at a later date.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle serious organised crime and disrupt the supply of illegal drugs in local communities.
Detective Constable Ashley Templeton said:
“This recovery highlights our commitment to tackling illegal drugs in our communities, underlining our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
“Information from the public is vital and we would ask anyone with information or concerns about drugs in their community to contact us.”
Police have reiterated the importance of community intelligence, stressing that information from the public plays a key role in targeting organised crime.
The investigation remains ongoing.
