Detectives are appealing for information following two separate housebreakings in Inverness.
The first incident happened at a property on Burn Brae Terrace between Thursday 7 May and Tuesday 19 May where a quantity of jewellery was stolen.
A second property on Trentham Drive was also broken into between Friday 15 May and Tuesday 19 May.
During that incident a two figure sum of cash was taken.
Police say enquiries are ongoing and officers are keeping an open mind over whether the two break ins could be linked.
Detective Sergeant Laura Mackay said:
“I would ask that anyone who was in the area during the timescale of either incident and saw anything suspicious contact police.
“I’d also appeal to those who live locally with private CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage to please review it to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
Anyone with information about the Burn Brae Terrace incident is being asked to quote incident number 1657 of 19 May when contacting police.
Those with information relating to the Trentham Drive break in are being asked to quote incident number 3437 of 19 May.
Information can be passed to Police Scotland by calling 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The incidents come as police continue to encourage householders to remain vigilant and review home security measures including CCTV, alarms and secure locking systems.
