ScotRail is preparing for a busy November as a series of high-profile rugby and football matches take place across Scotland.
The train operator has confirmed it will provide additional services and seats, where possible, for fans travelling to and from the various sporting events.
The Famous Grouse Nations Series, featuring the Scottish men’s rugby team, kicks off at Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium on Saturday, 2 November, with Scotland taking on Fiji at 17.40.
Other matches in the series will see Scotland host South Africa on Sunday, 10 November, Portugal on Saturday, 16 November, and Australia on Sunday, 24 November.
In football, the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals take place at Hampden Park on the weekend of Saturday, 2 and Sunday, 3 November.
Celtic will face Aberdeen at 17.30 on Saturday, while Motherwell take on Rangers at 15.00 on Sunday.
Additionally, Celtic’s Champions League campaign will continue with two home matches at Celtic Park against RB Leipzig on Tuesday, 5 November at 20.00, and Club Brugge on Wednesday, 27 November at 20.00.
Celtic travel to Edinburgh to play Hearts at Tynecastle in a 19.45 kick-off on Saturday, 23 November, and Hearts also travel to Glasgow to face Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday, 10 November, at 17.00.
Fans attending the games are advised to plan their journeys in advance, leave extra time for travel, and purchase tickets before boarding.
