A local chocolate manufacturer is set to revolutionise its production capabilities following an unexpected boost from Hollywood glamour.

Fetcha Chocolates Limited, nestled in the heart of Campbeltown, has secured strategic investment to dramatically expand its artisan chocolate manufacturing operations.

The company has obtained a £6,311 contribution from Highlands and Islands Enterprise, enabling the purchase of cutting-edge chocolate production equipment that will quadruple manufacturing capacity.

Founder Fiona McArthur, an experienced chocolatier, specialises in creating luxury vegan chocolates that are both gluten and soy free, packaged sustainably without plastic.

Her strategic investment comes on the back of a remarkable breakthrough – supplying chocolates for celebrity goody bags at the 2024 Oscars, which precipitated a remarkable surge in demand.

The new state-of-the-art tempering and moulding system will allow Fetcha to significantly increase chocolate production, meeting growing market interest while maintaining its commitment to handcrafted quality.

Currently employing one part-time worker, the company plans to create an additional full-time role focused on manufacturing and packaging, contributing directly to local economic growth.

Morag Goodfellow from Highlands and Islands Enterprise highlighted the significance of such businesses, noting that innovative food and drink enterprises are crucial to the region’s economic landscape.

McArthur expressed enthusiasm about the enterprise’s support, revealing that sales have already escalated by an impressive 400% following enhanced production capabilities.

With its combination of artisan craftsmanship and strategic growth, Fetcha Chocolates represents an exciting development in the United Kingdom’s thriving artisan food sector.
