The Hoosiers Bring Chart Success and Festival Energy to Dornoch This Summer

The Hoosiers are set to bring their catalogue of chart hits and festival experience to Dornoch Music Festival as the event moves into its final weeks before opening its gates.

The band will headline Saturday night at Meadows Park on 18 July, adding another major attraction to a festival that continues to build momentum in the Highlands.

For many music fans, The Hoosiers remain one of the defining British bands of the late 2000s.

Their debut album The Trick to Life reached number one in the UK charts in 2007 and produced a string of memorable singles including Goodbye Mr AWorried About Ray and Cops and Robbers.

Nearly twenty years later, their music still connects with audiences and their reputation as a live act remains strong.

Over the years they have appeared at some of the country’s biggest events, including Glastonbury, the Isle of Wight Festival and BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

Their appearance in Dornoch represents one of the most recognisable names to appear at the festival and underlines the ambition behind the event.

Dornoch Music Festival returns on 17 and 18 July with a line up that also includes Tide Lines, Tumbling Paddies, Glasville, Harleymoon Kemp, Wrest, The Wellerman and Beat The Drum.

Music may be the main attraction, but organisers believe the festival offers much more than simply a series of performances.

Families can enjoy a dedicated family zone, food vendors, fun fairs and a beer tent, creating an atmosphere designed to encourage visitors to spend the day and enjoy everything the event has to offer.

Set in the heart of Dornoch, the festival also benefits from a destination that already attracts visitors from across Scotland and beyond.

Known for its beaches, golf, hospitality and relaxed pace of life, the town provides a backdrop that organisers hope will help establish the festival as a regular fixture in the Highland summer calendar.

As the countdown continues, The Hoosiers provide another reminder that something special is building in Dornoch.

Tickets for Dornoch Music Festival are available now, with the event taking place on Friday 17 July and Saturday 18 July in Dornoch.
