Police are appealing for information following two housebreakings in the Lochaber area earlier this month.
The first incident took place between Saturday 3 January and Friday 9 January 2026 at two adjoining properties on the A82 at Letterfinlay, north of Spean Bridge.
A three figure sum of cash was stolen during the break-ins.
The second housebreaking happened at around 2.10am on Tuesday 13 January 2026 at a property in Banavie, Fort William.
A number of items were taken during that incident, including jewellery.
Police enquiries are continuing as officers work to establish who was responsible.
Inspector Katy Duncan said:
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of either of these incidents and who saw something suspicious to get in touch with officers.
“I’d also ask that those who live locally with private CCTV or dash-cam footage review this to see if it has captured anything of significance that could assist with our investigation.
“I would like to remind residents to be vigilant and mindful of home security.
“Keep all windows and doors locked and consider installing doorbell cameras, security cameras and alarms.
“Additional security advice is available on the Police Scotland website, and we’d urge the community to report suspicious activity to the police as soon as possible.”
