Belladrum Launches First Ever Football Shirt Ahead of Scotland’s World Cup Return

Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival has launched its first ever football shirt as Scotland prepares for its first World Cup appearance in 28 years.

The limited edition fan shirt was unveiled ahead of Scotland’s opening World Cup match against Haiti in June, combining the spirit of the Tartan Army with one of the Highlands’ biggest cultural events.

Belladrum, held each summer near Inverness, says the shirt has been years in the making and finally found the perfect moment with Scotland returning to football’s biggest stage.

Available in both adult and youth sizes, the shirt features a badge inspired by the iconic Scotland national team crest, reworked with Belladrum’s own heart with wings emblem at the centre.

Fans will also be able to personalise the shirts with customisation options when ordering online.

The shirts officially go on sale from 5pm on Wednesday 6 May through the festival’s website, with organisers confirming deliveries will arrive before Scotland’s opening World Cup fixture.

Festival producer Dougie Brown said the launch had been on Belladrum’s wish list for several years.

Dougie Brown said:

“A football shirt has been top of our ‘dream’ merch list for two or three years now but it’s never quite come to fruition, and Scotland qualifying for the World Cup felt like the perfect moment to make it happen.

“We can’t wait to see Bella fans from all over the world, wearing them.”

Adult shirts are priced at £44.99 while youth versions will cost £32.99 plus postage.

The youth shirts are being sponsored by Herchers Funfair, a long standing part of the Belladrum experience for festivalgoers over the years.

Jamie Hercher of Herchers Funfair said:

“Herchers are absolutely delighted to be sponsoring the youth football shirt.

“Belladrum is one of our summer highlights every single year, so what better way to get even more involved than on one of the most exciting pieces of festival merch for this year.”

Now entering its 22nd year, Belladrum has become one of Scotland’s best known music festivals, attracting tens of thousands of visitors to the Highlands every summer.

The festival has built a reputation around family friendly atmosphere, inclusivity and celebrating Scottish culture, with organisers describing the football shirt as a natural extension of that identity during a major moment for Scottish sport.

With Scotland heading back to the World Cup after nearly three decades away, organisers are betting there will be no shortage of fans wanting to combine football fever with festival season this summer.
