Frontline Buckie staff members from the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS) will appear on a new series of Paramedics on Scene, which airs on Sunday.

Vicki Sutherland, Paramedic Team Leader and Elaine Mair, Technician, will feature alongside SAS’s Air Ambulance team, East and North Ambulance Control Centres (ACC) and Aberdeen and Dunfermline frontline crews.

Vicki and Elaine said:

“Working alongside the camera crew was a great experience.

“Our job allows us to be a part people’s lives often at their most challenging and terrifying moments.

“It really puts life into perspective and makes you appreciate those close to you that little bit more.

“The show allows the public to see elements of this and get a feel for the work we do.

“Even if we only make a positive difference to one person during a shift, it makes the job worthwhile.”

Season Five of Paramedics on Scene is on BBC Scotland at 9am on Sunday and repeated at 8pm on Tuesday.

It is also available on BBC iPlayer.

The next episode features Air ambulance paramedics attending to a road traffic collision, an ambulance crew helping a man who has suffered a leg injury, while another crew is called to a woman who has fallen at home.
