Emma Roddick MSP has encouraged folk in the region to make use of the support on offer from VoiceAbility Scotland.
Emma met with the team in Inverness earlier this month to discuss how its Advocates support people in accessing Social Security Scotland benefits.
VoiceAbility Scotland also provide independent and unpaid carers advocacy.
Speaking on the support, Emma said:
“It was great to catch up with the Inverness VoiceAbility team to talk about the work local advocates do supporting people in accessing Social Security Scotland benefits.
“What was clear is that the team members care so deeply about the folk they are helping, and we discussed how we can continue to improve the Scottish system to ensure that it is as accessible and fair as possible for anyone who needs it.
“I would encourage anyone who thinks they may be eligible for any of the Social Security Scotland benefits, or those who are currently in the middle of an ongoing application, to get in touch with the team to find out more.
“The team at VoiceAbility Scotland is fantastic and stands ready to support folk across the region.”
