The enchanting aroma of fresh pine will soon fill homes as Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) prepares to launch its beloved Christmas tree centres across Scotland’s northern reaches.
Nature enthusiasts and festive shoppers will have their pick of premium Christmas trees at strategically placed centres, including the popular Tyrebagger site near Aberdeen, which opens its doors on November 23rd.
The carefully curated selection includes the highly sought-after Nordmann and Fraser Firs, with Tyrebagger offering additional pine varieties to suit every Highland home’s festive décor.
Scottish Christmas Trees will manage the Tyrebagger location, providing not just trees but also an extensive range of yuletide essentials including decorative wreaths, tree stands, and winter fuel supplies.
FLS Visitor Insights & Marketing Manager Laura Stewart emphasises the deep-rooted tradition of selecting a natural Christmas tree, noting how this annual ritual has become as fundamental to local festivities as hanging stockings or enjoying mince pies.
Families visiting the centres can transform their tree-shopping expedition into a complete winter adventure, with specially designed walking trails available for those wanting to embrace the crisp air.
The Lodge facility will enhance the experience with a complimentary winter-themed children’s trail, operating daily along the accessible White Waterfall path, complemented by warming refreshments in the on-site café.
With environmental consciousness at the forefront, FLS continues its commitment to sustainable forestry practices, ensuring each tree sold contributes to the broader ecological management of woodlands.
Prospective customers are encouraged to plan their visits early, with only six precious weekends remaining until Christmas to secure their perfect festive centrepiece.
Comprehensive information about opening times, pricing structures, and additional seasonal offerings can be accessed through the official FLS website at www.forestryandland.gov.scot/christmas.
This cherished tradition not only provides families with the cornerstone of their Christmas decorations but also supports local forestry management and seasonal employment across the region.
