Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, celebrating its milestone twentieth year, has demonstrated remarkable community spirit by generating £190,000 for Highland charities and local initiatives.
The festival’s partnership with the Elsie Normington Foundation, supporting children with complex needs, raised over £6,200 while providing invaluable exposure for this vital cause.
Through strategic ticket donations numbering 200, the festival enabled numerous charities to raise substantial funds through their own raffles and fundraising activities.
The bustling Charity Alley showcased prominent organisations including MikeysLine, Trees for Life, and Lymes Disease Awareness, while local groups such as Lovat Shinty Club, now proudly sporting Belladrum-sponsored kit, strengthened community ties.
Kiltarlity Village Hall’s beloved Tea Tent near the Garden Stage generated an impressive £7,000 for essential hall maintenance, while their ticket ballot contributed over £700 to the village’s Christmas Light Switch-On Fund.
Highland Hospice demonstrated remarkable fundraising prowess, collecting £3,000 through their festival shop and an additional £39,650 through creative use of donated festival passes.
Festival Producer Dougie Brown expressed pride in the event’s community focus, emphasising how their platform enables vital awareness-raising alongside substantial financial support.
Looking ahead, Highland Action For Little Ones (HALO) has been named as next year’s featured charity, supporting vulnerable children and families across the region with essential resources.
The festival’s commitment extends further with the forthcoming Belladrum Festival Community Trust, funded by car parking fees, which will establish a sustainable funding mechanism for future Highland community projects.
This remarkable achievement showcases how Scotland’s largest family music festival continues to harmonise entertainment with meaningful social impact, creating a legacy that resonates far beyond the festival grounds.
