The Highland Council is advising motorists that in advance of completion of the statutory process of introducing the new 40 mph speed limit on the B862 at Scaniport, gateway speed limit and repeater signs are currently being erected.

This signage south of Inverness between Holm Roundabout and Dores provides advance awareness and a bedding in period for motorists ahead of the Traffic Regulation Order becoming enforceable.

The Council encourages all motorists to reduce their speed in line with the forthcoming 40 mph speed limit in the local community settlement of Scaniport.
