Drivers using the A9 north of Tomatin are being advised to prepare for changes to traffic management layouts as work continues on the A9 dualling project.
Temporary traffic signals and a convoy system will be introduced for one night from 7pm on Wednesday 27 May until 6am on Thursday 28 May to allow construction teams to extend the current road realignment near Tomatin.
The temporary traffic management will initially be located north of the existing realignment before relocating once during the night to a point around 500 metres south of the Invereen roundabout.
Once stopped at the temporary traffic signals, drivers will be guided through the works by a convoy vehicle for approximately 150 metres at a controlled speed.
Following completion of the overnight works, both lanes of the A9 will move onto the newly extended temporary realignment from Thursday 28 May.

The revised road layout is required to support construction of the new grade separated junction at Tomatin and is expected to remain in place until around the end of 2026.
The temporary route will be clearly signposted and access to nearby properties will continue through a dedicated temporary junction.
Road users are being advised to approach the area carefully and allow additional time for journeys while the work is carried out.
Access for emergency services, pedestrians and cyclists will remain in place throughout the works.
As with all major roadworks, the arrangements remain weather dependent and could change at short notice.
The ongoing A9 dualling programme remains one of the largest infrastructure projects currently underway in the Highlands, with long term aims of improving safety, reducing journey times and increasing reliability along one of Scotland’s busiest transport routes.
