The SNP has announced that there will be a ‘cultural takeover’ of its social media on Sunday.
Leading musicians, writers and actors will join host Alan Cumming and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon in a drive to push ‘both votes SNP to put Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands’ as the election nears.
Mhairi Black MP (pictured) said:
“At this election turnout will be absolutely crucial.
“We need every single SNP voter and supporter of independence to do their bit and help get out the vote SNP on Thursday May 6.
“So, we are now stepping up the campaign another gear – both offline and online.
“An online Get the Vote Out rally – hosted by Alan Cumming who has a feature length interview with Nicola Sturgeon – will run as live on Sunday evening on our party digital channels.
“Alan and Nicola will be joined by a host of other Scottish cultural figures including Brian Cox, Val McDermid and others, to be announced.
“There will be music and stories and all sorts of good stuff.
“And some politics too.
“This cultural showcase – a takeover of the SNP’s digital channels – will boost the message that it must be #BothVotesSNP to secure the experienced leadership of Nicola Sturgeon and put Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands.
“The event will be on the SNP’s digital channels – Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Twitch at 7pm on Sunday.”
