Whisky lovers from across the Highlands are being invited to raise a dram as the Scottish National Whisky Festival returns to Inverness next month.
The event takes place at Eden Court on Saturday 11 July and promises an afternoon dedicated to Scotland’s national drink, bringing together distilleries, independent bottlers, mixologists and live performers under one roof.
Festival goers will have the chance to sample hundreds of whiskies from producers across Scotland while also exploring guest spirits, innovative flavours and new creations from some of the industry’s leading names.
The Inverness edition has become an established date in the Highland events calendar, attracting both dedicated enthusiasts and those looking to broaden their appreciation of whisky in a relaxed and sociable setting.
Alongside the tasting experiences, organisers have curated a programme of live entertainment featuring Scottish performers, speakers and industry experts designed to reflect the character and atmosphere of the Highlands.
Visitors will also be able to browse an extensive selection of bottles in the festival shop, including exclusive bottlings available only through the event.
The whisky shop will be operated in partnership with Inverness retailer WoodWinters Wines and Whiskies, giving attendees the opportunity to take home something special from the day.
The Scottish National Whisky Festival is presented by events company and independent bottler Caskade Drinks, which has developed the event into a touring celebration of whisky culture across Scotland.
While whisky remains the star attraction, the festival has increasingly evolved into a broader experience that combines food, drink, music and storytelling, creating an occasion that appeals to newcomers as much as seasoned collectors.
For Inverness, hosting the festival continues to reinforce the city’s growing reputation as a destination for food and drink experiences that celebrate Highland produce and craftsmanship.
The event at Eden Court runs from noon until 4pm and forms part of a wider programme of Scottish National Whisky Festival events taking place in Aberdeen and Glasgow over the coming months.
With summer in full swing and visitors already flocking to the Highlands, organisers are expecting strong demand for tickets.
For those looking for an enjoyable afternoon immersed in Scotland’s whisky heritage, the festival offers a chance to discover new favourites, meet producers and celebrate one of the country’s most famous exports in the heart of Inverness.
