NFU Scotland is pleased to announce the appointment of Gill Scott as the new Chair of its Remuneration Committee.
Gill brings a wealth of experience to the role, with over 10 years of senior leadership experience as HR Director at Aegon UK, where she spearheaded multiple strategic change programmes, demonstrating her expertise in executive management, HR, and operational transformation.
Having retired from Aegon UK in 2022, she now provides advisory support to various organisations on leadership and executive matters.
In addition to her new role at NFU Scotland, she currently chairs the homelessness charity Foursquare, the Scottish HR Leadership Group Operating Board, and sits on the Edinburgh Napier Business School Advisory Board.
Gill is also passionate about supporting female-founded startups as an angel investor and mentor.
Gill takes up her new role at NFU Scotland from Monday 16 September.
Commenting on her appointment, Gill said:
“I am honoured to take on this role and look forward to working with the Remuneration Committee to support the strategic vision of NFU Scotland.
“It is vital that we continue to ensure the right frameworks are in place to attract and retain the best leadership, while promoting an environment where the organisation and its people can thrive.”
The NFU Scotland Remuneration Committee is one of three key committees that supports the NFU Scotland Board of Directors.
Its remit includes advising the Presidential Committee on honorarium levels for elected office holders, annual pay awards, and non-pay remuneration such as pension contributions and other benefits.
While the Chair of the Committee is an external appointment and is not a Company Director, Gill Scott will be invited to attend at least one main Board meeting annually.
